ELEV8 Summer Bootcamp Registration is Open!

This summer ELEV8 will be partnering with GEARUP for an incredible creative experience. 
Only 20 students will have seats in this exclusive industry led camp, where students will work with each other and creative professionals to explore and expand their artistic horizons.

What happens at an ELEV8 Summer Camp?

Day 1: Welcome & Growth Mindset

 - Introduction: Campers get to know the space and each other.
 - Growth Mindset Workshop: Learn about creative expression, overcoming boundaries, and future planning. This session is recorded as a podcast.
 - Artist Visit: A professional artist shares insights on music making and the role of education in their journey. Includes a hands-on music workshop.
 - “RISE” Music Ensemble: Create uplifting music from various genres, led by community music makers.
 - Artist Interviews: Campers start developing their artist persona through entrance interviews.

Day 2: Songwriting and Creativity

 - Songwriting: Learn techniques in melody, rhythm, harmony, and lyrics.
 - Hook Creation: Master the art of creating an engaging hook.
 - Recording Experience: Work with industry professionals to write, produce, record, and mix an original song. 
 - Reflect on the process during group discussions.

Day 3: Portfolio Development

 - Press Kit Creation: Campers create their artist portfolio, including bios and skill lists.
 - Podcast Recording: Continue the “Power of Yet” podcast series.
 - Confidence Walk: Campers showcase their personal style in a photoshoot, boosting confidence and self-expression.

Day 4: Artist Showcase

 - Final Podcast: Record reflections on personal growth.
 - Showcase Prep: Prepare for the evening showcase, learning stage setup and performance prep.
 - Artist Coaching: Receive guidance from professional artists.
 - Evening Showcase: At 7pm, campers perform their music and share their experiences. Families are invited to celebrate their achievements.

Meet the Directors

Jordan Lee

Jordan Lee, aka LEEVILLE, is a visionary in music, education, and production, boasting 2 Grammy nods and the esteemed CMA Give A Note Award. His journey began as a dynamic choral director at Western Guilford High School, earning him Guilford County’s Rookie Teacher of the Year. Transitioning to "Curator of Entertainment Technology," Jordan spearheaded a state-of-the-art recording studio at PGSA, pioneering the Modern Music Production Program.

Passionate about accessible music education, Jordan partnered with Notes for Notes to provide instruments and studios county-wide. He founded ACE, a multicultural space promoting diversity through creativity. Now, as Director of Youth and Producer Experience at Notes for Notes, Jordan continues to innovate music education.

Through LEEVILLE, Jordan transcends musical boundaries, orchestrating immersive experiences and fostering community engagement. His debut album, coming Fall 2024, promises to captivate with its harmonic alchemy. Welcome to LEEVILLE, where the art of harmony thrives, and Jordan Lee's impact resonates as a visionary leader in education and the arts.

Chris Cloud

Chris Cloud is a distinguished music educator with over two decades of experience, dedicated to enriching the musical landscape in the Triad region. As the Director of Guitar Studies at Penn Griffin School for the Arts in Guilford County Schools, Chris has made significant contributions to the development of young musicians. His innovative teaching methodologies and commitment to excellence have set a high standard in music education, fostering a nurturing environment where students can thrive and express their creativity.

Beyond his role at Penn Griffin, Chris is the visionary founder of Cloud Music Academy, where he has significantly impacted the North Carolina community through his steadfast commitment to musical excellence. He has performed with several groups, including Grammy-winning artists, in prestigious venues across the United States, such as the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York. Chris's extensive performance experience brings a unique perspective to his teaching, inspiring students to pursue their musical ambitions with passion and dedication.

Chris is also a director of ELEV8 Creative Mindset Coaching and plays a pivotal role in A Collective of Excellence, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering artistic talent and community engagement. As a leader in technology integration within the arts, he is instrumental in curating ACE Spirit Week, an initiative that celebrates and promotes the arts within the community. With a mastery of guitar and a boundless creative spirit, Chris Cloud continues to inspire both students and peers, continually pushing boundaries and shaping the future of music education.
